This was built in 1979 to represent Kuwait's progressive renaissance. Today, Kuwait Towers offers a good spot for picnic gatherings because it is located at the seaside and is beside of other major attractions.
There are restaurants inside and a rotating observation deck where you can enjoy a vivid view of Kuwait and its serene water. It opens from 9am to 11:30pm with an entrance fee of 3.5KD (approximately 500php). Unfortunately it's under maintenance for quite some time now, and we do not know when it is going to reopen again. Nevertheless, there are a number of casual restaurants stud its periphery. Personally, I love going here to walk and take photographs of its exterior. Having it as a subject and backdrop in my photos completes the feeling of being here.
Here are my captures of the Kuwait Towers mostly taken during sunset and blue hour.
If you are new in Kuwait, bring your friends and enjoy this place to witness its majestic beauty. You can simultaneously schedule a whole day of swimming at the Aqua Park too.
Coming here will be quite of a challenge since there are no public transportation (buses) that pass by. If you opt to hire a cab, you should prepare paying 2.5KD (400php) if you are from Al Rai Area, 1.5-2KD (200-300php) if you are from Hawally or Salmiya Area, and 1KD (150php) if you are from some part of Kuwait City. The most practical way is to come here with a friend who have a car. You should remember also that going home is another greater challenge since there are few cabs coming here.
