KUWAIT BUCKET LIST: Visit Kuwaiti Maritime Museum

The Kuwait Maritime Museum showcases the Maritime history of Kuwait. They have exhibits of the tools and gears used to build and navigate ships.

The museum is located just in front of Souq Sharq. Two large dhows and a lighthouse stand outside the Museum. These serve as a landmark of this attraction making it easier to spot.

Upon entering the museum, you can pick up a visitor's guide on a stall to inform you about what's inside. Here's mine.

Visitor's Guide

The place is packed up with tools, old photos and miniature models about Kuwait Maritime history. The interior has 2 floors which have decors mimicking a ship. It is cool to know that once, Kuwait was reliant on its Maritime life.

The whole place

The whole museum is pretty small thus an hour or even 30mins of stroll will be enough. It might be little interesting than the other attractions you can visit in Kuwait, but definitely a quick visit to the place is worthy.

The place opens from Monday to Saturdays 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and Evening 4.30 pm to 08.30 pm. Fridays have different schedule which is 4.30pm to 8.30pm only. Admission is free and cameras are always allowed. So enjoy your peek like we did.

One entry of the bucket list is kalas. :)
